What it seems like you're looking for by way of advice is a bit more presentation than fashion. Your objective in an interview is to make a good impression, and realistically, companies don't hire a well-tailored suit. The interviewer is going to spend about two seconds during that initial handshake to determine whether you are presentable. I've got a couple of rules I follow that may or may not be applicable. Hands out of the pockets, especially both hands. One hand in a pocket, in my opinion, isn't a huge deal for appearance. You just really don't want a sweaty shaking hand, so I try to keep my dominant hand dry. Two hands in the pockets makes for an awkwardly shaped silhouette. Wear a tie that is simple. I don't wear ties that are more than two colors or have any sort of complex pattern. You don't want your interviewer to be distracted by your outfit in any way, but you also don't want to look silly. Basic patterns seem to ride this line well, and I usually stick to red and black/white for the color The rest is more nebulous.
